The Batesville Internship Experience
Our 10-12 week internships provide an opportunity for students to gain valuable hands-on experience through rewarding projects and robust summer programs. We assign challenging tasks that build on the intern’s skills and enhance their business savvy. From the start, interns are given a mentor, engage with executives, visit multiple company locations, participate in teambuilding exercises, and attend several entertaining activities. All of this strategic programming focuses on the company’s key core competency, intentional talent development, which emphasizes their personal growth. Project Summary
Primary work will focus on Critical to Brand components/processes and improved quality reporting. Primary focuses will include :
- Work with Project Manager and our Quality Lab to conduct capability studies of Critical to Brand components and processes.
- Work with Quality Analyst and other key stakeholders to identify needed eQuaTR(VOC data collection system) defect codes and improved Cognos reporting.
Project Deliverables:
- Formal Capability studies on several key Critical to Brand parts and processes.
- Refresh eQuaTR(VOC) defect code list working with Corporate Quality and Logistics stakeholders leading to improved insights through more finely sliced data analysis.
Required Degree/Skills/Experiences:
- Candidate for Engineering Degree
- Knowledge of basic statistics,
- Computer skills: Literate in Microsoft Office and some knowledge of databases
Preferred Degree/Skills/Experiences:
- Familiarity Capability studies
- Experience with database structure; exposure to JDE or other ERP software a plus
- Knowledge of Basic Lean Principles around Waste, Plan/Do/Check/Act
