Position Summary
Responsible for leading efforts in evaluation, design, and implementation of new systems applications and participating in the support and enhancement of existing systems following company systems development methodology guidelines and utilizing company defined standard tool sets. Leads and/or participates in technical or functional projects of increased size and complexity. Provides support and guidance to junior team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Design, develop and/or maintain system applications, which support the core business area functions; design system coding standards; establish best practices.

Provide daily production support by participating in the on-call rotation; own root cause analysis and communicate solutions to business users; proactively identify, design and recommend solutions to resolve core issues

Participate and/or lead, from a technical perspective, in small to large functional projects using the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project/portfolio management toolset.

Lead small to medium technical projects

Maintain, develop and approve procedures and user, technical, and process documentation

Apply change management process when modifying or adding new applications/processes

Provide solutions to all level service requests from business partners

Provide coaching, support and guidance to junior team members.

Provide advanced training to business users on new and/or existing applications/tools

Analyze and recommend application strategies
-
Engage with third party vendors to understand application roadmap and resolve user issues
-
Other duties may be assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
The position will have indirect supervisory responsibilities when the associate is assigned a project leadership role. The position does not normally have any direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science or Information Technology; and a minimum of seven years (ten preferred) related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills/Experience Required

Intermediate knowledge of programming concepts (e.g. object oriented programming)

Advanced experience with system development life cycle (SDLC).

Advanced database experience (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server)

Basic project management experience

Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications
Skills/Experience Preferred

Intermediate experience with project/portfolio management software

Intermediate experience with change management software

Intermediate project management experience

Advance understanding of multiple BIS functional areas
Travel
Employee must be able to travel 10% of the time.
