Hillenbrand’s Rotational Development Programs are designed to develop the technical skills, business acumen and leadership abilities of new or recent graduates. During these two-year programs, participants will have the opportunity to perform meaningful assignments in various rotations while gaining a broader perspective along with exposure to leadership of the different departments within each chosen career track.

After successfully completing the program, qualified associates will be placed into a role that best utilizes the experiences they have gained throughout their rotations.

Hillenbrand offers three distinct rotational programs: 

The Engineering & Management Development Program (EMDP) 

Based out of our corporate office in Batesville, Indiana, the EMDP is a challenging and rewarding full-time opportunity designed to develop high-potential candidates into key roles within the organization. The two-year program is structured as three 8-month modules consisting of cross-functional rotations within our Batesville business, along with relevant reading assignments and training tailored to your interests and the company’s needs.

The Sales Support Representative (SSR) Program

Batesville’s Sales Support Representative Program is broad and in-depth experience that helps prepare participants to become influential sales leaders through challenging assignments that support our business objectives both now and into the future.

Designed to prepare today’s top sales candidates for deployment into some of Batesville’s finest established territories, this 12-18 month program is milestone based, allowing each participant to gain a deeper level of understanding in the area of focus. You will also receive extensive training on the death care industry, our products and business solutions, and selling with a consultative approach that aligns with the funeral service profession.

Hillenbrand Finance Rotational Program

As a participant in Hillenbrand’s Finance Rotation Program, you have the opportunity to gather comprehensive knowledge about Hillenbrand’s global Finance & Administration. Rotations between many roles and businesses enable you to develop your functional and professional skills and understanding of life within a multinational company.

The modules include:

• FP&A Analyst (Operating Company – Coperion)

• Cost Accounting (Operating Company – Batesville/Doll Plant)

• EMEAA Treasury (Operating Company – Hillenbrand/Stuttgart, Germany)
