Position Summary
Provides lock and key/access control services and solutions for all operating companies. Performs security officer/maintenance duties as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-
Responsible for cutting and issuing manual keys when requested including facilities in North America
-
Maintain data base of all issued manual keys including locations outside of Batesville, IN
-
Serve as a primary contact and in house consultant on all matters pertaining to locks, keys and access control systems

Install, troubleshoot and repair access control systems for all US based facilities when requested

Maintain access control system and key or access control data base
-
Directly Responsible for PIV (Post Indicator Valve) Monthly Inspection and periodic review by key stakeholders and insurance inspectors
- Other duties may be assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Will occasionally supervise Global Security in absence of supervisor.
Travel
Employee must be able to travel 25 % of the time
Education
High School Diploma/GED with a one year certificate from college or technical school; and a minimum of 24 months related Locksmith/Access Control experience and/or training, along with a minimum of 5 years experience working in corporate security or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in professional Locksmithing and access control
Skills/Experience
Required skills/experience:
- Training as a certified locksmith
- Knowledge of access control systems, uses, placement and strategies
- Knowledge of security policies, procedures and best practices
- Computer skills including ability use Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and programming of access control/lock and key systems
- Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems and basic electrical wiring
Preferred skills/experience:
- Locksmithing Certification/Training
- Certified Access Control Technician/Specialist Training
- Severe Weather Spotters Certification (NWS)
