Maintenance Technician

- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Starts devices to test their performance.
- Adjusts PLC programs as appropriate.
- Machine and fabricates parts from blue prints or drawings.
- Builds electrical panels from blue prints or drawings.
- Builds prototypes and model parts from drawings or verbal descriptions.
- Trouble shoots electrical systems, pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
- Assembles jigs, fixtures and machines from detailed drawings.
- Other duties may be assigned.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three to five years related maintenance, engineering, or production experience
- Basic Microsoft Office skills required, intermediate MS Excel

Microsoft Office Suite plant robotic programming, PLC and CAD skills preferred
