Hillenbrand is looking for an HRIS Project Manager to join our team. As an HRIS Project Manager you will be responsible for managing one or more HR technology projects using a structured project management methodology with minimal direction. You will lead a team of professionals to successfully complete assigned projects on time and on budget by managing project constraints in terms of cost, time, scope, and quality in adherence with established organization and enterprise project management practices.

What you’ll do:
- Manage project processes and execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, quality, and scope; follow change management procedures to ensure visibility to changes in scope, cost or schedule and gain appropriate level of approval.
- Act as single point of contact for assigned projects.
- Ensure adherence to Hillenbrand PMM practices by coordinating formal and informal training for project team; prepare key deliverables for and complete required gate reviews to ensure alignment with key stakeholders.
- Identify resource needs and timing to meet project objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans, milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
- Prepare project status reports and present status as needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Collaborate with internal and external project resources, key stakeholders, and management to identify, track and resolve project issues and mitigate project risks.
- Coordinate the development of communication and training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the support team.
- Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate meetings related to project tasks, milestones and status.
- Track and report key metrics; communicating best practices and feedback to teams; and continuously improving processes.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises employees.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, HR or a related field
- 5+ years of project management experience
- Intermediate level software implementation project processes (project management methodology)
- Intermediate skill level in Project Management software (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
- Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office programs (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel, MS Project, Teams)
- Experience implementing SaaS/cloud solutions.
Great to Haves
- PMP Certification preferred
- Capable of planning and organizing work and processes; ability to self-direct multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication/language skills required to include the ability to provide written and verbal instructions, and compile and present information clearly
- Analytical and reasoning ability for solving problems and good judgment for complex decision-making
- Knowledge of HR processes and dependencies across areas of expertise within HR
- Experience implementing, configuring, or supporting HRIS applications; ability to read and understand system specifications.
Travel: Employee must be able to travel 20% of the time.
