Position Summary
Responsible for managing Batesville’s Strategic Management Process (SMP) and industry analysis. Facilitates key meetings of the Batesville Executive Management Team (EMT), including strategy sessions, staff meetings and policy deployment.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Manages the Strategic Management Process (SMP) including situation assessment, strategic framework, and coordination of the business plan.  Responsible for coordinating and developing all presentations, memos and communications with Hillenbrand and the board of directors.
  • Facilitates and administers the organization's monthly performance management process (policy deployment), driving focus on the relevant performance topics and ensuring all functional areas are prepared for the meeting.
  • Conducts death care industry analysis, including public death care company performance, peer group tracking and competitive analysis for inorganic growth opportunities.
  • Manages EMT calendar, including the meeting agendas and logistics, and ensures key takeaways are captured and follow up items are completed.
  • May participate in other strategic activities.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
 Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education  
Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university and a minimum of  5 years related experience and/or training in strategy/ cross-functional process management. Master’s degree preferred.

Skills/Experience Required
  • Incumbent for this position must be fully mobile and able to relocate  
  • Advanced written and verbal communication experience required
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

Skills/Experience Preferred

  • Intermediate experience with facilitation
  • Strong financial acumen  

Travel

Employee must be able to travel 10% of the time.
