Position Summary

Responsible for the implementation of customer specific software following company systems development methodology guidelines and utilizing company defined standard tool sets. Works with users, management and IT staff to develop and maintain software to customer specifications.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain system applications (with guidance) which support the core business area functions utilizing system coding standards and following best practices.
  • Provide daily production support  by participating in the on-call rotation; assist with root cause analysis and communicate solutions to business users; proactively identify, design and recommend solutions to resolve core issues (with guidance)
  • Participate (with guidance) in small to large functional projects using the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project/portfolio management toolset.   
  • Lead (with guidance) small technical projects
  • Maintain and develop procedures and user, technical, and process documentation (with guidance)
  • Apply change management process when modifying or adding new applications/processes
  • Provide (with guidance) solutions for small service requests from business partners
  • Provide basic training (with minimal guidance) to business users on new and/or existing applications/tools
  • Engage with third party (with guidance) vendors to understand application roadmap and resolve user issues
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education

Bachelor's degree(B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science or Information Technology; or one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Skills/Experience Required
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts (e.g. object oriented programming)
  • Basic understanding of relational database architecture
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications
 
Skills/Experience Preferred
  • Basic programming experience
  • Basic database experience (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Basic knowledge of project management
  • Basic knowledge of system development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
Travel
Employee must be able to travel 10 % of the time.
