Position Summary
The Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining and updating the MAS90 accounting system in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Oversees the monthly billing process and compliance with revenue recognition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Updates the General Ledger from financial transactions
- Prepares monthly financial reports to be delivered to the corporate accounting office
- Analysis of Operating (OPEX) and COGS expenses.
- Analyzes monthly financial data to be discussed during Policy Deployment
- Approve recurring vendor invoices for payment
- Processes Customer Billing Forms and Invoices to Customers
- Create Customer Proposals for sales, training & other customer requests
- Make Collection calls
- Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance to the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Oversees operation of the Merrimack office.
Travel
Some travel may be required
Education
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a college or university in Accounting and 3 to 5 years related Accounting experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in Accounting
Master’s degree (MBA) or equivalent in Accounting or Business helpful.
Skills/Experience
Required/preferred skills:
- Proficient in MS Office
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Required/preferred experience:
- Proof of prior Accounting experience required
